Resident Evil HD Remastered coming to PS4, Xbox One

Capcom is developing a HD version of the Resident Evil remake that was first released on Nintendo’s GameCube in 2002.
The game will be released digitally for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC in early 2015. It will feature full 1080p visuals as well as support for 5.1 surround sound audio.
Players will be able to pick between playing in the original 4:1 ratio or switching to 16:9. A classic control style, in addition to a style suited to modern games will be available to choose from.
Developed by Capcom Production Studio 4, the 2002 Resident Evil remake took the seminal PlayStation entry and updated gave it a complete visual overhaul as well as introduced new mechanics and systems from later entries in the series, as well puzzle design tweaks. Lets hope a HD version of Resident Evil 2 is also in the pipeline.

Possible Resident Evil 7 unvailing at this year’s E3

image

So it was rumoured that Resident evil 7 started production in November 2012 not long after the release of RE6. If that is correct, the timing would seem about right for an E3 2014 unveiling. I really do hope Capcom takes the series back to its tense horror roots, instead of the action focus it adopted in RE5/6. If they do, it will most likely restore my faith in the franchise, here’s hoping.

Duck Tales: Remastered Coming To Retail Stores

Ducktales-Remastered-Logo

Recently, the legendary, Duck Tales game for NES and Gameboy has been remastered for the more recent consoles. I, myself, use to love this game when I was younger and, to be honest, still do now. It’s available through the PlayStore and Marketplace at the moment but in early November this year, will be ported over to disc format for the PS3, Xbox 360 and the Wii U. Exciting stuff! So for all those people who don’t have the internet or mummy won’t let you use their card online, it will be an awesome chance for you to re-live the magical moments this game has to offer.

Personally, I’m going to wait and get myself the physical copy of the game and just play the original until then but if you are impatient, check out your consoles Marketplace (or PlayStore) to download it now. YAY DUCKS!

What is the one thing all your video games need?

Is that answer Tobias Fünke? No? Well it should be. With Arrested Development returning on the 26th of May (I know I still can’t believe it either) the stars have invaded the world. From the Bluth frozen banana stand appearing all over it now seems that Tobias Fünke has invaded our video games. Check out this video.
