2014, Year of The Wii U?

Lets all admit, the Wii U hasn’t exactly taken off as much as Nintendo expected, but 2014 may be the year when that all switches round for them. Yeah, they may have tried to release some huge games from such series as Assassin’s Creed and Call of Duty and FAILED (I mean, they have to compete with the 2 console giants on that, so that was inevitable), but we have all forgotten about two little things that Nintendo have that Microsoft and Sony don’t… The ability to make awesome party games and Nintendo’s own titles e.g. Mario, Pikmin and Legend of Zelda. Now that Nintendo have realized that their true calling has been with them all along. I mean, who doesn’t enjoy sitting around on a Sunday whacking on the GameCube and playing some Mario Party with the guys.

SO the games being released this year are turning me back to when I was a kid and got excited bout the latest Zelda games, with the release of Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze and Mario Kart 8. But wait there’s more! Super Smash Bros, Bayonetta 2… wait did I say Bayonetta 2? Yes I did and do you know why? BECAUSE THE FIRST ONE WAS INCREDIBLE! Don’t get me wrong, its not an original title by Nintendo but, to be honest, with the success of the first game (and the pure awesomeness of it too) it will be, no doubt, a huge hit. I know the price tag of £180 is a bit much just play a few old franchise games but I assure you, especially with a new Zelda game in the works, it will be worth it.
